Meet Budo, an imaginary friend of Max. They are the best of friends. Max is diagnosed with the Asperger’s Syndrome. Budo has always been a fiercely protective friend who has helped Max overcome bullies in school. Budo is afraid that when Max grew older, Max’s imaginary dimension will cease to exist, and so too will Budo. Little did Max know that one of his teachers is about to do something that will cause him harm, and Budo is on a mission to rescue his best friend.
Told from the point of view of Budo, this story touches on unconditional love and loyalty. Budo’s voice is strong and so believable. Heartwarmingly beautiful story which moved me to tears. Couldn’t recommend this enough!
